Pay your bill online using eBill
Black Hills Power eBill program gives you secure convenient delivery and saves time and money.
- Electronic paperless billing: You are able to access your bill at your convenience through by logging into your Black Hills Power online account.
- Free online payments: Once you enroll in the eBill program and receive email notification that your bill is available, you can use your checking or savings account to pay your bill with NO CONVENIENCE FEES.

Through SpeedPay, you can pay your monthly bill online with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) or by check or debit card for a SpeedPay transaction fee.
- Pay your bill by Phone using SpeedPay

Call SpeedPay’s toll-free number at 1-866-537-9039 to pay your monthly bill with a debit/credit card (Visa, Mastercard or Discover) or by check for a SpeedPay transaction fee.
- Pay your bill by Phone through Customer Service
To pay your bill by personal check with no fees, please call Customer Service at 1-800-742-8948.
- Pay in person
- At any BHP district office during regular business hours.
Rapid City Office: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Newell Office: Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Newcastle Office: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
All other district offices: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.- noon and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- Quick Collect with Western Union

Black Hills Power customers can now pay their utility bills at more than 47,000 Western Union locations nationwide, making paying your bill convenient from anywhere. Western Union is quick, secure and convenient. Note locations are cash only and charge a $1 convenience fee for this service
- Banking Institutions
You may pay
at most banking institutions in the Black Hills area by presenting
your payment stub at the time of payment.

- Pay The Easy Way: Automatic Bank Transfer
Log in to your account on-line to sign up to pay your energy bill automatically each month with Automatic Bank Transfer, no stamps, no writing checks, and no late fees!! The ABT option is the free and easy alternative to writing a check each month. When you enroll in ABT, your energy bill is automatically deducted each month from your checking or savings account on the due date.
We could all use one less thing to remember, so get it and forget it!

- Budget Billing
Black Hills Power can level out your monthly energy payments. We'll consider the usage at the property and energy costs to arrive at your initial budget amount. After that, your monthly balances will be calculated based on the average of the previous 12 months' actual bills. However, the monthly amount due is only adjusted if the monthly calculation is at least 10 percent greater than or less than your current budget amount.
