Get your rebate faster by checking off these easy steps before submitting your application form:
Print application online and mail before equipment is purchased or work begins
Completely fill out application form
Provide in-depth description of existing conditions and proposed project
Provide manufacturer’s equipment cut sheets
Provide project energy savings calculations
Provide project cost detail
Review Terms and Conditions and sign and date application
Make and retain copies of all documents and application
Send all documents to Black Hills Power Energy Efficiency Solutions Program

After pre-approval letter is received, start and complete project
Send copies of itemized invoices and a copy of the pre-approval letter to Black Hills Power Energy Efficiency Solutions Programs
IMPORTANT
In order to be eligible for a custom rebate, please fill out the application form and submit to Black Hills Power. A customer who proceeds without pre-approval or applies to the custom program after the project has been completed may not be eligible for consideration of a custom rebate.
Incomplete or incorrect applications may be delayed.
Please do not use this form for rebates on measures that are covered by the Prescriptive Rebate Program. Prescriptive measures must be submitted on the Commercial Prescriptive Rebate application form separately.
Terms and Conditions General Eligibility
Rebates are awarded to help commercial/industrial customers implement high-efficiency measures and are available to Black Hills Power non-residential electric customers.
Included are rebates for improvements to or replacement of cooling, lighting, refrigeration and motors.
Multiple rebate applications for different measures may be submitted. Each individual measure will be evaluated on its own merits.
Similar measures that are proposed in different facilities or buildings will be evaluated separately.
All projects will be individually reviewed for cost effectiveness and must pass Black Hills Power cost effectiveness test.
All Custom projects require pre-approval before purchase and installation
Custom rebates are based on the cost difference (incremental cost) between standard and high efficiency equipment and systems, and the amount of energy saved. Rebates are calculated individually for each project.
