High Efficiency Heat Pumps

Program Description
This program offers rebates to Black Hills Power Commercial & Industrial customers when they replace or upgrade their heating and cooling equipment with high efficiency heat pumps.

Eligible Measures
An air source heat pump must be 1-5 tons in capacity, with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of 15 or higher and a Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) of 8.5 or higher.

A geothermal heat pump must be 1-5 tons in capacity, with an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 16.5 or higher and a Coefficient of Performance of (COP) of 3.6 or higher. Qualifying geothermal systems are also eligible for rebates on loop fields.
