Electric
Water Heaters
You know the advantages of electric water heating:
no pilot light to go out, no combustion, no venting, and it's environmentally
safe. But electric water heating costs more, right?
Black Hills Power has made electric water heating
easy to purchase and less costly to use. But first, you need to
look at your total electric usage. Are you planning to install electric
heating and cooling, or are you planning to install more than one
water heater? If so, you should hook up to a demand
controller and take advantage of the Residential Demand
Energy Rate savings on all your electric usage. Best of all, a demand
controller makes electric water heating very affordable.
Black Hills Power offers a $1.50 per tank gallon rebate on electric water heaters with an Energy Factor or Energy Efficiency rating of 0.94 or higher. BHP also offers a $1 per tank gallon rebate on electric water heaters with an Energy Factor or Energy Efficiency rating of less than 0.94. Plus, you may qualify for an additional $100 bonus if a NEW Demand Controller System is installed with a NEW electric water heater*.
* Customers with an existing demand
controller in their home do not qualify for the $100 Water Heater
Bonus.
