Residential Demand Controller Program

Residential customers who use an average of 1200 kwh per month or more can benefit from the Demand Controller Program. This includes customers building a new home or residing in an existing home. Apartments, townhouses and condominiums can also benefit.

South Dakota Residential Demand Service Rate: Rate 14	Saves you up to 30 percent on your monthly electric costs. Rate is based on a kW demand and kWh used: $6.72 per KW demand and 3.98 cents per kWh, with a monthly customer service charge of $11.75. 3 times on-peak demand limits during off-peak hours
Wyoming Residential Demand Service Rate: Rate 14	Saves you up to 30 percent on your monthly electric costs. Rate is based on a kW demand and kWh used: $6.75 per KW demand and 4.50 cents per kWh, with a monthly service charge of $16.50. Unlimited off-peak demand
Controls Major Appliances: Heating, Cooling, Water Heating, Clothes Dryer and Hot Tub	Able to control the kW Demand which can reduce your electric costs. Controls appliances on a 15-minute cycle, thus not shutting off major appliances for long time periods. You do not need to manually control your major appliances to prevent high kW Demand. Does not control your lights, T.V., range, and other appliances.
Maximum Value Feature	Beginning in 2007 Customers can use three times the on peak demand during off peak hours with no demand charge.

0% Interest Financing	BHP offers 12 month, 0 percent interest financing on the Demand Controller unit to qualified customers through the Paid-By-Bank payment option. The maximum loan length is 12 months, with a minimum monthly payment of $25.
